in an upcoming workshop. We should remember that for every one incarcerated or denied employment because of their criminal past, there is loss of another possible taxpayer.

Jails and prisons on the whole, do not serve a great rehabilitative function. Punishment and public safety is what they're for, and I'm fine with that.
Thanks for your comment. My concern is that studies show there is direct correlation between illiteracy and incarceration. We build prisons rather than strengthen the problems of illiteracy. Our world standing is #1 in incarceration and # 30 in education. People would still have jobs working in the education system
